Gospel musicians are better than the others on live band - Great Ampong

Gospel musician Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong, aka Great Ampong has opined that musicians of other genres especially Hiplife cannot perform comparably well with live band.

According to the ‘Hosanna’ hitmaker, gospel music genre is at an advantage over the others when it is performed live because we sing in church with the live band.

Great Ampong said: "Our church influence makes us better with live performance unlike Hiplife artistes who only go to the studio to record and then mime at events".

Great Ampong made this disclosure in an interview with Linda Abrefi Wadie on the problems gospel artistes face in the entertainment industry.

With regret, Great Ampong explained how Gospel artistes are not paid duly as compared to musicians of other genres as well as the disrespect they face.

He advised gospel musicians to work harder and concentrate on the blessings of God before that of man.
