Nii Okai flashmob’s the Malls with ‘Saving Hearts’ Album

It is customary to have gospel musicians organise concerts at church auditoriums and the national theatre to launch their albums, but Nii Okai keeps pushing the limits.

He just released his 5th album – Saving Hearts at the new Junction Mall at the Nungua Barrier with a massive flash mob dubbed the Saving Hearts Storm (SHS) that held fans and patrons to the mall spellbound for hours. The activity was later replicated at the West Hills Mall.

The new 11-track album which features some of Africa’s best musicians and producers including Danny Nettey, Koda, IjeomaMekomam, David KaywabeatzKyei, Francis Osei among others was not only available on CDs but also on trend-setting USB wristbands which bore the inscription “I am a heart saver”.

Commenting on the successful SHS, Nii Okai said

“The Saving Hearts Storm is the new phase of our Saving Hearts Project where a third of the proceeds from the sale of the album goes directly to fund heart surgeries for needy Ghanaians under 10 years in collaboration with The Ghana Heart Foundation. After this ground-breaking launch, we are set to go countrywide and beyond with our products while showcasing our success stories as regards the beneficiaries so far. I want to thank my family, the church and its leadership, corporate Ghana, my indefatigable team, partners, friends and fans across the world for supporting us on this project, and urge that we do more as there are more hearts waiting to be saved.”

Patrons at the Junction Mall, especially Shoprite were treated to a rotation of the new tracks including Trinity, Boundary Lines, Coming back again and the remixed Moko be which are said to be already enjoying good airplay and hits across social media.

Nii Okai further hinted that there will be a massive concert at the end of the campaign to thank God for a successful SHS.
